Candle Care 101
For a high-performing, even burn that lasts longer than your ex-boyfriend, follow these simple candle care instructions.
To prevent fire, do not leave burning candles unattended. Do not place burning candles on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets. Burn within sight.
01. SNIP, SNIP ✂️
Trim your wick to ¼ inch prior to lighting. You can use your fancy wick trimmer, or trusted kitchen scissors. Do not allow any dust or dirt to collect on the surface of the wax.
02: LIGHT ME UP 🔥
Place on a temperature safe surface. To avoid tunneling, always allow the full surface of wax to melt (min. 2 hours). The container will be hot when the candle is lit. Avoid burning for longer than 4 hour periods.
03: RECENTER 🎯
After each burn, recenter your wick by adjusting its position before the wax is fully firm. You’ll thank yourself the next time you burn!

HOW TO SAFELY CLEAN AND REMOVE WAX FROM YOUR VIGYL VESSEL BEFORE UPCYCLING
STEP 01
Wait for the candle vessel and wax to cool to room temperature.
STEP 02
Place the vessel in the freezer to allow wax to harden and shrink. (overnight works best!)
STEP 03
Gently pop wax out of the vessel. Use a spoon or wooden chopstick to remove any residue carefully. Apply minimal pressure to preserve the integrity of the glass.
STEP 04
Once you have removed all wax, remove the wick holder from base and wipe clean with soap and water. Removing the wick holder may require the gentle use of pliers.
